A glowing teelicht pro on dark stone: a short ivory cup with a frosted teardrop on top, lit from inside.

All glow. No flame.

A rechargeable tealight that flickers like a real candle and turns on with the rest of your lights. It isn't on sale yet.

38 mm wide, 15 mm tall

Close-up of the glowing teardrop. The thin print layers show up as rings of light, and the USB-C port is in the side.

1800 K

Warm like a candle, and it never flickers the same way twice.

There are two LEDs under the frosted teardrop: a warm white one at 1800 K and an amber one. The light is brightest at the bottom and fades toward the tip, like a real flame.

It sways and dips at random, but it never blinks or goes dark. It's about as bright as a real tealight. Enough for dinner, not enough to read by.

Light the whole table at once.

Put a few on the table and group them. Now they turn on and dim together. Save that as a scene, and next time it takes one tap.

A dinner table at dusk with eight teelicht pro lights glowing along a linen runner, between plates and wine glasses.
Two teelicht pro lights, switched off, on white paper in daylight. One shows its USB-C port.

Nothing to light. Nothing to clean up.

No wax on the tablecloth and no soot on the ceiling. When the battery runs low, charge it over USB-C like your phone. One charge lasts about 6 hours.

It works like your other smart lights.

teelicht pro connects over Zigbee 3.0 or Matter over Thread, one or the other. Add it to Home Assistant with ZHA, Zigbee2MQTT or Matter, and it shows up next to your other lights. With Matter, it also works with other Matter controllers.

Then you can turn it on and off, dim it and set the warmth anywhere from 1800 to 2700 K. Choose candle or steady light, set how strong and how fast it flickers, and check the battery.

There's one button, the small round one on top. Press it to turn the light on and off or to start pairing.

The prototypes run Zigbee today. Matter over Thread is still being tested.

The specs so far.

Exploded view of a teelicht pro. From the bottom: the twist-off base, the battery with its two leads, the circuit board with every part lifted off it, the white light channel, the shell and the frosted flame.
Everything inside, pulled apart: the twist-off base, the battery, the board with the ESP32-C6 underneath, the white light channel that sits over the LEDs, the shell and the flame. This is the prototype, so some details will still change before it goes on sale.
